I’m in charge of cooking this year’s Thanksgiving Turkey for my extended family. I’ve been pouring over different cooking methods and recipes for a week now and finally decided to give this maple and orange turkey recipea try. It sounds really yummy and quite different from the traditional roasted turkey that we usually have. I’m a bit nervous since I won’t have a chance for a trial run ahead of the big day with this recipe, but I think it will turn out ok and my family is always open to trying new things.

I enjoy searching for and trying out new holiday recipes. You never know when you’ll come across that perfect one that will quickly develop into a new holiday tradition. A few years ago I tried a chopped pecan cookie recipe that turned out absolutely wonderful. Now not a Holiday season will go by where I don’t make it and everyone looks forward to those tender cookies. But first I’ll have to tackle this maple orange turkey. Hope it is as big of a hit as the cookies.
