Peeling Made Easy with Peel Away Potato Peeler

January 23rd, 2009 by admin

I am a big fan of fresh, made-from-scratch mashed potatoes. Now there have been occasions when I’ve bought a box of spud flakes to make with a meal because I just knew I wasn’t going to have time to make a batch from scratch. But hands-down, when I have the time, it’s fresh mashed potatoes for our family. The only part that is a bit of a pain is peeling the potatoes with a hand peeler or knife. It’s really the only part of the  task that I really don’t enjoy. I guess I must have complained enough because my hubby recently bought me a great Peel Away Apple/Potato Peeler and I cannot believe how easy peeling potatoes has become.

Not only does it do an amazing job of peeling potatoes, but it  is great for apples too – it peels, slices, and cores an apple in mere seconds. It has a great suction base which secures nicely to my counter top when I’m using it, and it’s made of sturdy cast iron with stainless steel blades so it’s built to last a lifetime. It even looks really stylish in the red burgundy color my husband picked out. This is one handy kitchen gadget I wish I had gotten along time ago!
